With its natural amber-coloured transparency, SustaPEI is characterised by an extremely high level of strength across a wide temperature range. At 190°C, PEI, also known by its raw material name Ultem, exhibits a tensile stress of 50 MPa. This is roughly equivalent to the level of polycarbonate at room temperature. Its flame resistance (UL94 V0), low smoke density and toxicity, and high electrical insulation capacity are also unique. Typical applications can be found in the aerospace, electrical and semiconductor industries.
