On July 1, 2025, Raphael Wolfram took over the management of Röchling Industrial from Franz Lübbers, who retired at the end of June after more than 50 years with the company. Since 2017, Lübbers had successfully managed the Industrial division of the globally active plastics processor headquartered in Mannheim as CEO and expanded it into the most profitable subgroup.
The Supervisory Board of Röchling Beteiligungs SE had already appointed Wolfram as Lübbers' successor last year at the suggestion of the Advisory Board. The 43-year-old joined the company in 2019 as CFO of the Automotive division. From 2021 until February of this year, he successfully led the division as CEO through transformative years for the automotive supplier industry. In 2022, he was appointed to the Group Executive Board, of which he is the Spokesman and will remain in his new role.
Before joining the company, Wolfram worked for Goldman Sachs International from 2007 to 2012 and then moved to the Austrian Greiner Group, a manufacturer and processor of plastics and foam. There he was initially responsible for the Asia region from Beijing/China before taking over the management of Greiner Packaging in Istanbul/Turkey for the Near and Middle East in 2015.
"We are delighted to have found an experienced manager in Raphael Wolfram for the position of CEO of Röchling Industrial and to have been able to organise this important succession internally. He knows our company well and has proven at Röchling Automotive that he knows how to set the right course for a successful future even in difficult times. We are convinced that he will further develop Röchling Industrial strategically," emphasises the Chairman of the Advisory Board, Gregor Greinert.
Greinert is also full of praise for Lübbers' work: “Franz Lübbers has played a key role in shaping the success of the Industrial division. On behalf of the Advisory Board and the entire company, I would like to thank him for this extraordinary achievement over many years.”
Martin Schüler took over Wolfram's position as Automotive CEO on February 1, 2025. Schüler had already been appointed to the Group Executive Board in November 2024. In addition to Wolfram and Schüler, Dr Daniel Bühler (CEO Röchling Medical) and Evelyn Thome (CFO of the Röchling Group) complete the Board.
