Employees and company management support the Parents' Initiative for Children's Cancer e.V. and six regional camps
The employees and management of Röchling Industrial in Haren once again demonstrate great commitment to the region and donate 18,000 euros to regional associations and projects. With extraordinary success, donations were collected again at the annual company party, reaching a record amount of over 8,600 euros. The management of Röchling Industrial Haren joined in this effort and doubled the rounded-up amount to a total donation of 18,000 euros. The money benefits the Parents' Initiative for Children's Cancer e.V. and the Harener camps.
"The now traditional collection campaign at our company party shows the great commitment of our employees to the region. It is particularly important to our employees to support projects and associations through their donations that benefit the people on site. We as a company are happy to join this commitment," emphasises Daniel Fritz, CFO of Röchling Industrial.
"A cancer diagnosis turns one's whole life upside down - not only the life of the person affected, but also that of the entire family. Our association's goal is to support families in this challenging time in various ways. The donation allows us to organise excursions and activities for the affected families," explains Petra Müller from the Parents' Initiative for Children's Cancer. The initiative supports families of children and adolescents suffering from leukaemia or tumours in the Emsland region, the county of Bentheim and surrounding areas: They advise and care for affected families, offer assistance, organise activities for families and provide financial support.
"Such a valuable initiative relies on financial support in the form of donations to provide assistance. Therefore, we have decided to support the Parents' Initiative for Children's Cancer e.V. with 3,000 euros," explain Bernd Schepers and Hubert Wilming, employees of Röchling Industrial Haren, on behalf of the workforce.
2,500 euros each will go to the region's camps: Haren Scouts, Altharen Scouts, Wesuwe Camp, Erika-Altenberge Camp, Emmeln Camp, and Rütenbrock-Fehndorf Camp. "As we did last year, we are once again supporting the camps in our area this year. Since many of our employees' children enjoy the camp offerings, we feel particularly connected to them. With the donation, we contribute to maintaining these leisure activities," says Torsten Ströer, also an employee at Röchling Industrial Haren, on behalf of the workforce.
